Wargaming and World Cyber Games at New York Comic Con

This month, Wargaming America crossed the country for the World Cyber Games US Finals at New York Comic Con where our top ranked World of Tanks teams battled it out for the chance to represent the US in the WCG World Championships in China. War & Peace, Buischti, Team Curse, and Banned Angels competed against each other in an intense double elimination; best out of five style tournament Saturday October 13. After hours of non-stop tanking, fierce competition and some very close games, Team Curse emerged victorious and earned the title of US Champion.

In addition to the watching the WCG tournament, attendees had the opportunity to try out version 8.0 at one of the WOT stations where WGA staff were eagerly posted to guide our players through the new features including tank physics, updated graphics and rendering, as well as new tanks. Each day was packed with daily streams on Twitch.TV, cosplay contests, tournaments and the energy of more than 100,000 enthusiastic Comic Con attendees.

Some of our most dedicated local players even joined us for dinner, drinks and games at the local Dave and Busters for our community player gathering. Together we celebrated World of Tanks, our fantastic community, hosted a large Q&A session and introduced the pro teams and players. It was an incredibly successful and fun event. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to play, and for our pro teams for working so hard to be the best! If you missed out on NYCC, check below to watch some of our live streamed interviews.
